Convince me that not having the demonfire endgame is right.

Convince me that not having the demonfire endgame is right. I agree. The Sudden Shocks are useless. What do you kill nowdays? The only thing it would be useful is on morphs, and they dodge that easily. -4 SS +4 Demonfires. You have the Snow engine to make them huge, so go for it!

Demonfire is not that great in this deck. It requires me to tap out. Granted, Sudden Shock is sub par too. It really is a place-holder until the real spell for that slot rotates in: Incinerate.

I agree, Sudden Shock has to go. I'm also not very fond of Jaya Ballard as a 4-of. I suppose you could discard her to herself if necessary though. I would also run Mouth of Ronom, at least two. It's non-red direct damage which is good against Soltari Priest, etc.
My suggestions for replacements are Rough/Tumble, Blood Moon, and maybe Pyrohemia or Skirk Shaman.
I also wouldn't rule out running 1 Fungal Reaches, and 1 or 2 Demonfire. The card is nuts.

I already said SS is a place-holder for Incinerate. Demonfire may be a 1x at best. It would be fine if I see it, fine if I don't. Double Demonfire hands are CRAP with this deck. Mouth runs into the same issue as Demonfire, being expensive. Plus, there are enough colorless lands as is. Maybe as a 1-2x in the mana base. Blood Moon is a metagame thing, but the deck really wants more burn. Pyrohemia will die more than you think, and Skirk Shaman simply isn't an efficient enough beater. Rough/Tumble in a deck where it will kill every one of your creatures? I think not.
I really can't think of a burn spell better than Incinerate to take that spot. Sudden Shock is just a place-holder until that card rotates in.

To be fair, he has two or three months with Incinerate and Char together.

To be fair, he has two or three months with Incinerate and Char together. That's still no excuse to play an inferior spell.

Revised List:
4x Magus of the Scroll 4x Blood Knight 4x Jaya Ballard, Task Mage 4x Giant Solifuge 4x Wildfire Emissary
4x Rift Bolt 4x Seal of Fire 4x Char 4x Volcanic Hammer 2x Demonfire
12x Snow-Covered Mountain 1x Snow-Covered Forest 4x Scrying Sheets 4x Terramorphic Expanse 1x Mouth of Ronom
Sideboard: 4x Krosan Grip 4x Cryoclasm 4x Skred 3x Ancient Grudge
Debating:
Removal of most, if not all the snow engine for Stomping Grounds and Kird Ape. The reason I am testing this is because it will be viable when the most important tournaments roll around (Regionals and Nationals). I may only have 3 months with Char and Incinerate, but those 3 months include Regionals and Nationals, and that is very important.
